thanks fenderpunk for the kind words! That guitar is 6 months of agony that's finally been validated in a wickedly resonant, sustains out the wazoo, has vintage correct parts, SDs, etc. "vintage superstrat". I love it... wouldn't trade it for the world.

i love it... the colour screem reminds me of the strat Brad Gillis used in the 80's...

i saw a Mahogany Tele from this Fender series today and it looks nice as well....

hehe, red / black in the scheme of a gibson SG Standard to me just screams awesome... moreso because it's on a stratocaster. As for the tele, I believe that one is a FSR chambered mahogany tele. Sort of a hybrid of a semi-hollow Les Paul with P-90s and a tele... about 80% tele, 20% LP with P90s... It's an awesome player, but I'm just not a tele guy. I'm a strat guy.

na the Deluxe tele i saw was not the thinline P90 version... it's a Tele USA Deluxe in the same red as yours with a black headstock, noiseless Tele PU's and so on... it's kind of cool...

Dude....are you sure we weren`t best friends that got seperated somewhere done the line? It`s uncanny how many of your comments about Strats and music are exactly my thoughts as well.

That is one sweet Strat btw!

Here's the magic recipe for "mahogany strat supremo"

-2 SSL-1s (rwrp neck, normal middle)
-1 Brobucker wound to 11k
-Callaham American Deluxe Premium Kit ('64 arm, block, and amseries saddles)
-Lone-Star wiring configuration, 3 x 250k pots
-Luxe 1958-1961 Strat capacitor (for n and m potentiometer)
-Luxe 1961-1968 Strat capacitor (for b potentiometer)
-Acme Guitar Works solderless kit
-Onyx Forge Guitars' Stainless Steel inserts and 18-8 stainless machine screw kit
-5 american series springs, with a decked bridge and a claw torqued all the way in

Mix well, put some D'Addario 11-49 EJ115 on, or 12-52 EJ21s on, set up, intonate, and play!

i know that, i'm just saying the mahogany gives a single coil a bit more of a P90 tone... the only tele that had actual P90s was the tele jr. a custom shop masterpiece that I wish was still around.

those Tele Jr's sure were weird looking beasts, but cool..... They released a weird cheapie version of them under the Squier name that were completely different quality of course...
