I wouldn't worry about taking it to a tech if it sounds just fine. It's probably been recapped, and you can tell by pulling the chassis out and looking for yourself.

I was gonna say 72 - 74, because yours doesn't have the 68/69 drip edge aluminum strip around the grillcloth, and it doesn't have the master volume to the far right, just reverb and tremolo. 70 - 71 didn't say TFL5005D under the logo.

Don't worry about reliability. It'll probably outlive all your modern amps.

You know, I've been playing it on & off all day and it sounds great! I do still want to bring it to a tech just for sound of mind before I push it too hard but the sense of urgency isn't quite as bad for me as it was yesterday. Right now my biggest problem is trying to make enough room for it, I'm literally going to have to rearrange my whole living room and go move the other 9 amp's/cabinets I own around and even then I'm not sure they'll all fit? I think I may also have to get rid of our recliner but personally I like playing better than sitting anyway?

LOL!!! The whole point of yesterday's trip was to consolidate so I'd have a bit more room, I thought I'd come back with a new L.P. or something? Now I've got the equivalent of a 72 Cadillac parked directly in the middle of the living room floor! Understandability my girl is just a little PI$$ED.......

LOL!!! The whole point of yesterday's trip was to consolidate so I'd have a bit more room, I thought I'd come back with a new L.P. or something? Now I've got the equivalent of a 72 Cadillac parked directly in the middle of the living room floor! Understandability my girl is just a little PI$$ED.......

Plenty of room at my place and the amp never has to leave NH. You can visit any time you would like. Too bad my amp guy is too far for you to use. You would love him. Great prices and great service. Are you planning any trips south this spring/summer?

If you got somebody good in mind that you could recommend I'd certainly appreciate it!!! The closest person to me that I could find would be some guy in Dover but I know absolutely nothing about his work, just that he works on amplifiers...

Actually I spent about 3 & 1/2 hours today rearranging all my gear and not only did I find a spot for it but the way I have it setup now I actually have more room than before! I did have to sacrifice my video game chair though? It was a tough sacrifice but well worth it, LOL!!!
