i'm all eyes and ears on this one too...

Re: So Rid tell me wich one to buy.Delayla or RedRepeat?

true bypass isn't the best thing on a delay pedal, since the repeats will stop when you turn it off. i always like them to decay when it is turned off. With the Line6 DL4, you have the option of true bypass or not.

Re: So Rid tell me wich one to buy.Delayla or RedRepeat?

The Delayla is a delay on its way out!!!
Cannot wait to see the end of that one...hehe the RR is based on the Layla in filterings, but it is a much more nice delay and cheaper, for less money you get a more functional delay, the XL is a different beast and has no global timesettings, only tempotap, the upcoming Echotone will have both global delay control and a tempotap, switchable between the two settings, a loop in the feedback for modulation, a selector for trails or no trails, a longer fatter delay tone than the rest of the delays, it is essentially a evolution of all our delays, but that one will be expensive and is not quite done being finished yet, the features and sound has been tuned in, it is only a matter of getting the pcb done now....and with new EU regulations it took some extra time fitting all the new stuff in.
Anyways I would go for the RR, I rather like mine here at home, the toneknob is one of my personal suggestions to this delay, and I am very happy that it got implemented:)
True bypass is hype....lots of hype!!!
And the bypass is just fine, just do not stick in a loop unless it can go to musiclevel, otherwise the sound will be quite ugly and distorted, loops are something some evil bugger made in a huge drunken stupor;)

That Red Repeat looks promising for the price and features.

Re: So Rid tell me wich one to buy.Delayla or RedRepeat?

Tahnx alot Niels ,that was a good review!!!Better than any stupid music magazine!! heheheh^^
BTW ,i did not say i am not looking for the other ones ,but to buy something that has been made or designed from people like Niels has a personal touch.I love to have personal stuff ,and i use mostly really short time delay or really long.So True bypass and a hi quality sound is the main thing that i look at a delay pedal. And i know how Niels creates allways nice sounds. So that is a good reference!!!

Re: So Rid tell me wich one to buy.Delayla or RedRepeat?

So, Niels, how would the RR fit in with my plans for a digital delay with minimal features? I prefer taptempo, but that's not a deal breaker.

I'm looking for a simple delay that CAN give repeats, but would be used more as a reverb on steroids.

Re: So Rid tell me wich one to buy.Delayla or RedRepeat?

This is another CM pedal that has caught my attention. It seems like such nice simple delay. How could you go wrong?
