i personally can't wiat to get my FAT CAT solo boost from MRFJONES
we've kinda been working together on getting him into the pedal building business
more him working, and me asking for pedals

cheers

Is that based on the Ibanez Fat Cat? That is one of my favorite pedals! Other than that probably the TS-10 Tube Screamer. There is a lot of good stuff (overlooked too) in that series.

For a clean boost, the RC Boost works best for me. For a mild overdrive, I'd have to go with the Tim. For medium to higher gain, the Fulltone OCD.

can somone PLEASE tell me what this TIM or tim or timmy OD thing is and where i can get one? ive only seen it mentioned in forums and a google search hasnt turned anything up

I chose the xotic effects ac booster. It can do the tubescreamer thang and LOTS more. It has more drive on tap and has active bass and treble controls. Really creamy overdrive.

It's says it's out of production....

Wow, that sucks! He must have a new version in the works because it was a very popular pedal.

Cheers,

nope, it is a modded version of a fender gain stage (using a transistor in place of a tube). very even and clean. it hits the front of your amp harder and doesn't really clip itself. i am currently modifying it some more to add a bit more volume.

I have a boss BD-2 that I think is fantastik! .. . I got hte mods that I did to it off of Robert Keeley's website before they stopped giving out free information . . . if anyone wants them, just PM me and I'll send you a list of the parts to be swapped out.
