So, the new Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai is digital.

Apparently, they only have enough bucket brigade circuits to last two and a half years, so they went digital for the new Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai.

I wonder if it's still going to be as good. He says it still keeps a good analog sound, but, you know, that's what they all say.

Not to say much...the BBD's do not really matter that much, it is the filtering that makes the real difference...besides it has looping abilities...would not sound very good using BBD's at all....those a very narrow banded chips.

It's a little disappointing, but more for the reason that they are running out of BBDs. I feel like I should get a new DMM to match up with my vintage one in case it craps out.

I think I'll still be buying it, because as you said if it sounds good that's all that matters. I really like the Echo Park, and that's beyond digital w/ filtering, it's pure software emulation.

Well, the original rumor was that they are out, but, thankfully, those rumors were dispelled when he said that there are two and a half years worth of stock left. So, there's a bright side in that sense.

Even the boot-eek delays that are most praised for their analogue sound these days, are digital with a little cap across the feedback pot to suck up highs from the repeats. The repeat will sound darker than the original and every repeat is going to sound a darker than the previous repeat.

I think that's a great way, as I like to have my delays not as present as the original signal and you can still have all the goods of modern delays such as tap tempo, duck and a longer delay time.

If it sounds good to you, that's all that should matter. PEROID.

Honestly, with all the crazy stuff it does, who could expect it to be analog?

Re: So, the new Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai is digital.

Are the rest of the effects in the new lot digital or is the SEM and Holy Grail + still pure analog?

Re: So, the new Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai is digital.

the holy grail has always been digital...
My mind was wandering onto what I want I meant the Q tron (that was analog orignally wasn't?). Hopefully they will sound awesome but my main thought is if they are digital y not opt for the holy stain seeming its about the same price and get more effects for ur buck or do u reckon they will compromise sound and versatility?
