So, what do you think? EVH Tribute

:dance: Put together this mutt with a cheap Samick neck, a heavy plywood body w/ a decal, and routed the pickgaurd and cut up another old black one the volume pot is on for a Beak Van Halen Kramer tribute. Most authentic thing is the old quarter machined exactly to spec. It could play pretty well, but needs a fret level.
Also, the lil Peavey isnt a real 5150- I sprayed the numbers on it;

Are the coils in that mattress wound to 1978 specs?

nicely done! ive tweaked the mess out of guitars, but never painted one..

Re: So, what do you think? EVH Tribute

good job; how do you like your bravo? i've got one of the grey tolex covered ones and that little thing rocks!

Re: So, what do you think? EVH Tribute

the guitar came with the decal. I think I payed 25 bucks plus 15 shipping. I got the neck on some basket case body with 12 sets of strings, a cheap HSC I used to ship a different guitar, and the tremolo for 100.00.
The littel Peavey is a fairly good littel amp, I replaced the speaker with a 10" Pyle Driver and it has big fast bass and cleans that aint that bad.

This is my Edvard Van Holstein guitar. The bridge doesn't intonate worth a damn, but this guitar is fairly forgiving when the rest of my guitars aren't.

Oh man, thats great. For those of you that don't know, a 'Holstein' is the famous spotted black and white diary cow! lol. I love the lil Bastages!
They make Holstein amp tolex..always wanted an amp covered in that.

Dude, that's F#$@in' SWEET! What's the deal w/ the bridge?

Interestingly, the Holstein cows were first bred in what is now The Netherlands! Hahahahahaaaa!

The bridge is an Aria ACT/II tremolo and there isn't enough travel on the saddles for me to get it into perfect intonation. Two or three strings read at least +10% sharp and they are back as far as they go. If I was ambitious I could grind length off the end of the saddle or just buy another bridge.
