1959 Plexi, clear as glass, woody midrange and gnarly lows, hard to control as well

The problem with harder to find or non mass produced amps is being able to try one out before shelling out hard earned cash and being disappointed.

Buy used. If it doesn't work for you, the loss should be limited to shipping costs.

Yes, used is definitely the way to go. I'd rather take even a 10% loss on something used than 30-50% loss against the new price.

Put your rig on a solid carb friendly Marshall (1971-1989) and Bogner diet - you will never have flubby low end again. However, side effects include GAS.
