Solidbody Papoose 12 String Pup Question

I have been tinkering with this Tacoma/Olympia Papoose solidbody 12 string. Its an "A" scale guitar.

Any opinions on what Pickup, pickups, pot and tone setup would be best?

Presently there is a duncan design HB103 that sounds rather muddy with the 500K pot and such. I'm thinking that less would be more with this one.

I would imagine you are playing it clean and without much effects right?
I would look for low output, flat eq and articulate. The pots are probably fine. The SD Jazz neck, Bill Lawrence L-500 or one of the Ultrasonic Reference series pickups. My preference would be for one of the lower output Ultrasonics since they are flat, transparent, clean and articulate. Either that or the L-500 since those are also pretty transparent and have good articulation.

Thanks for the examples.

Flat EQ and low output sound convincing.

Ultrasonics are hard to find but keep watching ebay. The ultrasonics are completely transparent, so I think that would probably be the best since you would be getting a psuedo-acoustic tone. Also try wiring whatever pickup with a series/parallel switch because the parallel option might be what your looking for if the series option is too hot and thick.
