Solo boost... needed on guitar

Have you tried the "Vetta Juice" effect ? Not sure if that's "stock" on the Flex, but it came with my XTL (reckon ya could download the model pack to get it?)

I'm really starting to like this thing better than the Tubescreamer....preserves the tone of the model you are using much better, just adds a $hitpile (or not) of gain/boost.....it works very much the same way as the EMG boost/preamp I have on my Jackson.

I have a Flex III Plus (1-12" and stereo direct outs). How does the "Vetta Juice" effect work? I am reluctant to duplicate sounds in order to add just a little more volume/gain... it would literally cut in half the number of patches avaiable.

Re: Solo boost... needed on guitar

It can be used as a clean boost or gain boost..however unlike the classic pedals Line 6 models (TS9, Rat, etc) it doesn't color the tone *too* much...For example, the TS9 cuts quite a bit of bass and adds alot of upper mids....The Vetta Juice is very similar to flipping on an onboard preamp ala Jackson/EMGs boost, or the old BC Rich's w/ pre-amps in them...it's just more gain.....and I mean you can really OD the living $hit out of your signal with it :D
