I can not play one and can't look at it either without cringing. But in the hands of Jeff Beck or Kotzen they sound great, just like any other guitar they have ever played. It's not the player, it's the guitar that's the problem.

Mincer Administrator Staff member Apr 9, 2025 #27 While he was mostly known for archtops (and his birthday was yesterday), Steve Howe's Tele sound is one of my favorite guitar sounds overall. He uses a modified Tele with a real PAF in the neck connected out of phase with the bridge.
