Some help wiring my SD stacked P90 pickups please?

Installed some Duncan stacked P90 pickups in my 1971 Les Paul Goldtop and followed the SD diagram.

That is to say that the Green, White and Bare wires go to the pot ground and the Black and Red wires go to the hot terminal.

However a few issues pop up. They are not at all hum free and the bridge pup is far more louder than the neck pup.

I know there are a few ways to install these pups but I am going for the most power while still hum free if possible?

Any suggestions please?

That's definitely the way Duncan recommends that the Stacks be wired. Which seems odd. I'd assume that to be parallel wiring. While that should still be hum-cancelling, it will also be a weaker output. You could try cutting the red and white wires, where you have them soldered, and simply solder them together and tape them off so they don't touch anything. That should be the more powerful series wiring, but may also lose a bit of the classic P-90 character.
