Some more of Ye Old Metal

Re: Some more of Ye Old Metal

Excellent! Have you been listening to Witchcraft? ;)

I really liked all the parts of the song, from the opening riff, to the clean parts and the Iommi-like solo.
Good stuff man, and the drums sounded very natural too, how did you do them?

Thanks!

Being a demo track, this was done very simply: Two SM57s in an XY over the drum kit and a D112 on the kick. Bass and guitar were recorded live along with the drums, and then I re-tracked the guitar using an iso cab.

Strings are EastWest Symphony Orchestra. All synth tracks are a Dave Smith Mopho. Acoustic is an Ovation Legend.

Re: Some more of Ye Old Metal

love the acoustic part! kinda captain beyond-ish in its scope of tones/vibes.

Ah another oldschool goodie!
Almost had me back when I was a kid in the early 80s...when we where listening to a bunch of records...Dio, Maiden, Thin Lizzy, AC-DC, Rainbow...and so on!
Had that same vibe for sure!
Yeah defently Black Sabbath as well....
Cool!
