This is kinda slow. I used my Les Paul with my new 1987x reissue. The pickups are Seth Lover bridge and 59 neck. :)

I used a new version of Cakewalk for the first time on this, and I am still getting used to it.. so don't sue me for lousy recording skills please :D You can bash my playing all day long though :D

cool ..
it sounds like a less gainy tone than your 2204, unless it's just your settings

pretty good tone, though

It's less gainy and it has more highs and lows.. my cheezy playing and recording don't do justice but this thing sounds pretty freakin cool up close :) .. darn loud too :18:

Thanks Curlyman

AHHH Yes !! It doesn't get better than that!! That's got to be
the ultimite Rock N' Roll amp. The most interesting thing is you
proved yourself right. (The Rant:D ) You Still sound like you:cool:
Playing thru a plexi . You didn't morph into another player. But
what a great sound Ya get from a Classic amp.:smokin:

Very cool, It is more open sounding than the JMP. The highs are easy to tame with a couple cap clips, I would bet you could cut glass with the Tele. lol. Are you pleased wth the acquisition?

Oh man it's a bit intimidating that you guys are listening to this. All of you really know how to rock :) Thanks a lot for the support. I love this amp.

This amp does not crunch like my 2204, but it does not need to. The distortion is so harmonic sounding that it does not seem like distortion :D It is definitely articulate and punchy.

The lows on this amp are pretty great.. you need a kidney belt while soloing loud with a 59n :18:

:) it's funny that you mention that.. when I first plugged in to this thing, I thought "Cool, Duane Allman, Page, EVH, Angus, Joe Perry".. heh heh

Thanks bro

Holy Moly I love this amp! I have been all over the Marshall forum checking out ideas for mods lol :D I will talk to you before I do anything.

I am thinking about getting a couple of different speakers before I do any mods. Its funny, I did not think my Blue Dogs had those lows in them.. they sound fine but I want to experiment a little.

Your tunes have definitely fueled my inspiration to get this amp... cool.

Hey man a huge thanks for that!! To be inspiration for anything is good in my book.

I am close to 68 specs with a bit more added. ( a tad more gain...) there is so much fun you can have refinining that amp w/o losing its voice. It has been the most fun with an amp I have had and that amp actually changed both the way I played and the way I hear tone. It is so sensitive to every nuance of your playing... My high gain ears are long gone these days.... lol

As always Steve an excellent clip. Definitely more "open" sounding than your main Marshall from this clip. Hope you find a lot of inspiration in it.

Steve,
I have a Mojo version of the G12H30 that I got from Lew's bro. Your welcome to give it a try if you want. I could probably just drop it off on my way up north, and give you a week to give it a workout.
I tried it in my B Jr, but prefer my C12N RI in that amp. It would probably be well suited for your Marshall, though.

anyway, no obligation ...

Wattage, thanks man. I definitely notice a more "open" sound from this amp. I did this with my remaining 2 Blue Dog speakers.

Curly thanks for the offer. I'll talk to you about that for sure.
Before I got into Marshalls, I sold 2 original greenbacks.. bummer. They were in a Fender Twin but I wanted JBLs 120f speakers for it. I sold the Celestions because I did not really like them in the Twin.. oh well.
