I am sorry to bother everyone, however, I need to ask some questions about BASS pickups. I asked them in local guitar center, but could NOT ge.t a solid answer apart from: "Hey Any brand names should be decent, even Wilkinson, Warman and Entwistle should be fine"
Question number 1. I got an ESP B334. Ash body and ASB-4 pickups. I have TWO sets of pickups that I got super cheap: EMG SSD and EMG HZs, Which ones would be better than the stock ASB-4? And by how much.
More general questions. I like sound with a lot of growl and mid range. Spector Performer, Epiphone Thunderbird, Washburn RB2000, and Schecter Special kind of sound or if you will Peavey Grind (I got that one). Most Duncan pickups SPECIFICALLY scoop the midrange for some reason, which brand has pickups with descent mid range aside from EMG SSD that were specifically designed for Spector bass? A more balanced sound. What would be a good brand?
Thank you
