Some Quick Questions

What do staggered pole pieces do? and for most of the single coil Duncans it says available RW/RP, what is that? And it says, available in calibrated sets with a RW/RP middle, if you were getting it for the middle pickup, is that what you'd get?

Re: Some Quick Questions

The poles are staggared to follow the string curve on older fender with a 7.25" radius to have ballanced frequencies since the strings have such an arc, the poles in the center need to be taller to ballance out the sound. This is also applies to newer fenders with the 9.5" radius

RW/RP stands for Reverse Wound/Reverse Polarity which means that the wire is wraped around the coil the oppisite direction that a normal pickup would be would(i dont no idea what dirrection that is) and RP is when the magnet is flipped so the polarities are opposite of the dirrection of a normal pickup. This process(RW/RP) is done so that when you have an S/S/S guitar with all true (non-noiesless) singles coilds, the 2nd and 4th (notch) positions are Hum-Canceling
