some sensless wanking

so i was digging around my soundclips and found this old bugger.. probably around two months old. never liked the playing as i was experimenting with the egyptian scale... wanted something oriental hehe

playing is VERY sloppy and pretty off key at times, so dont say you havent been warned. thing is about 2 mins 30

maybe i'll develop some ideas out of here into a song (well, will most definately do once i get my GP back)


so, what do you guys think? constructive criticism apretiated (and yea, i know i need to work on my accuracy A LOT! and i intend to work on it once i get my GP back .. what else should i work on? apart of my scales and technical knowledge?)

i regularly use the egyption scale for almost all my solo's in my band, gives a very unique sound when used well, especially in heavy metal. though i didnt learn it from a scale book i just worked it out and later found out it was an egyption scale lightly mixed with some spanish scale

yea, i know LOL and indeed, i was without any direction.. i just liked some of the passages from it and thought i'm gonna post it... parts out of this are way cool, but as a whole... pretty terrible haha

Its not crappy, it just doesn't sound like anything was thought out. Just kinda like your practicing or something. I like the tone ALOT. I'm surprised sometimes at how good those Line6 deals sound.

I can listen to this and think in a few years your going to be a bad@ss. Keep it up.

I really dig your tone Davey... you make me want to try 59 neck again just to give it another shot... mine seamed a lot more muffled than this, although I think the guitar was the problem... on the IBZ SZ models, the neck PU is very far from the strings, a lot fater than on LP-type guitars.

mine is reversed though... the screw poles should be pointing towards the neck, mine are pointing toward the bridge. i think this way the bass is slightly reduced.

wouldnt this make for a reverse polarity pup when paired with the bridge??

and i got mine set as high as i possibly can =)
