I got a mim strat. just put a hot rails in the bridge and love it. just bought a lil 59. where would i get the most out of it? neck or mid? has anyone used this combo together? Do i have to make any mods to run this combo like changing pots. or whatnot? thanks.

i have a hotrails in my strat. i didnt change the pots. what sound are you seeking? (style of music) the lil 59 in the neck seems like a good idea to me, im not sure which little humbucker would sound best in the middle with those 2.

Yeah - the Lil 59 is a killer Strat neck pup. It'ld be a nice bluesy, smooth tone to contrast the HR. Lots of things to do with the middle. Why not just leave those two for awhile. Take your time picking the middle.

i like heavy distorted blues with soaring leads. hendrix, sabbath, zztop. should i put the 59 in the middle or neck? I'm thinking rythem on my bridge then switch to 59 for a solo then back again. where would i get the most punch and sustaiment around the 12th fret? neck or mid placement?
