Something i did awhile ago (Evil and Pointy)

Its going to our good friend beer$ i will send it by the end of the week hopefully. I just wanted to get a few pictures of it and share. Taking pictures has proven really hard as it doesn't capture the finer details of the work. The back looks really nice its a strange combination of 4 pieces of ash bookmatched together :scratchch. The entire thing is done in tru-oil the top is made up of carved wood and fabric printed graphic that has been sealed and cleared.

It's a truly unique ghastly home abortion job compared to your traditional gibsons and strats but its what i do so eat it :32::32::32::32: like jerry.

I managed to get a few pics i thought looked ok.






The back photo really doesn't do it justice and i have a really nice matte sheen going on between the grain. ill get more pics......

nice work! how do you do the top? not so much the skull which i assume is carved, but the cracks or whatever you call them. interesting bridge. brass saddles?

The top is a jpeg of rocks i printed using my a3 inkjet printer but instead of printing onto paper i printed onto cotton fabric. I then glue it on, seal it with sanding sealer, carve out the lines and then more sealer/sanding followed by the oil. :headbang: I think its a form of decoupage. And yeah i think they are brass by the look of them im pretty sure its a gfs bridge.

Say Raph, any idea what the wood type might be? I want to say alder. The grain on it is nice, like a coffee table or old home cinema system with wooden furniture.

It's 4 pieces of ash bookmatched which i found odd and just posted. :baby: Keep your eye out for a box that looks like a tea pot i had to improvise.
