After changing the POTs in my guitar from 250k to 500k, my guitar's sound still sucks, because there is hardly any output. I have a friend w/ a similar guitar w/ same pups (Ibanez INFs), and they sound just fine. I don't know what else to try, so any help is appreciated.

Ok... firs of all... if there is hardly any output you have probably wired it wrong, or wired it right and the solder is not very conductive, or wired it right and the problem lies in the pickups, a dead coil or something... Try to find problems with the solder or wiring first because thats most likely the case.
