Something wicked this way comes...and repeats

Way Huge/Dunlop/MXR have been on a roll lately with some great pedals and it looks like Mr. Tripps has another cool one on the way. The Llama has already dropped (need to get my hands on one still) but it's the Supa-Puss delay I'm psyched to try.

I bet that's going to sound awesome. The more I use my Green Rhino, the more I really love it. I really want to try the Fat Sandwich too. It's rare that I become a fan of a company over just one product, but these guys really seem to be getting it right.

I just wish they didn't use such large enclosures. They look cool and they're not too huge (Just way huge :stooges:) or anything, but it'd be handier if they were more Boss-sized.

Re: Something wicked this way comes...and repeats

Supa-Puss have an extended delay time (like, more than 300ms)? I may have to save up for one if so.

What is the Llama? OD-1 copy (2 knobs)?

I know, google it, etc...

Re: Something wicked this way comes...and repeats

I actually like the size and style of the WH pedals. Since the jacks are on top they actually take up about the same space width wise as a typical MXR with George L's right angles plugged into it.

Pretty sure the Supa will be a 1 sec max delay time. The Llama isn't an OD-1 copy.

Re: Something wicked this way comes...and repeats

I can't see the Supa Puss being more than 600 or so ms unless it's not really analog but maybe it is.

I've been waiting on this for a while now, knew it was coming but didn;t see the first pics until Sunday.

On the subject of the Llama nothing at all like an OD-1, SD-1, TS anything...ragged edge distortion with TONS of gain...sort of like a tweed amp pushed to the max!

That's a fair point.

Re: Something wicked this way comes...and repeats

That is so bad-a man! I like it. Too bad I bought one of the Deja Vu's on clearance today.

Re: Something wicked this way comes...and repeats

I was told "1 full second" but that was back in June so things may have changed along the way, not sure.

Could be cool but thats just a LOT of delay chips to get a full second...

I've heard a few things plus I have heard that it is just an analog voiced digital delay, if that turns out to be the case I have no interest...

Re: Something wicked this way comes...and repeats

So this is an Aqua Puss (my fav analog delay btw) with longer delay time and tap tempo?!?

I'm a digital delay guy (Nova delay and Line 6 Echo Pro rack are what I use) so I have no problem if it's analog voiced digital. However Way Huge, Dunlop or MXR have never made a digital pedal that I can remember. So my guess is it will be true analog and just an extension of the Aqua with more tweakable variables.

Interesting guess I suppose but a full second analog delay is quite a bit of work...not that it can't be done, Maxon has come VERY close and Mike at AnalogMan has even modded DMM's to be close to a second but since Jorge worked at Line 6 for a while i'm sure digital is something he's very comfortable with in terms of design...

I wish I had more info on the Supa Puss...I have heard several different stories at this point.

Re: Something wicked this way comes...and repeats

I'm not too interested in the Delay, but I really like the look of that Red Llama pedal :D

Re: Something wicked this way comes...and repeats

Got some details...

1 sec max delay time, 100% analog & tap tempo.

Re: Something wicked this way comes...and repeats

I bet it has modulation with those extra knobs...yes?...no?

Re: Something wicked this way comes...and repeats

Not 100% sure on that actually. I didn't think to ask, just assumed it would.
