**** son - forget the TC Nova and the Deja Vu, that's about to be my delay.

I wonder how they did it 100% analog but incorporated a tap tempo? The design on that pedal is probably fascinating.

Any idea when it'll be hitting shelves?

There will be a digital circuit in there somewhere.....Then we can have the analog vs digital pedal argument again.:naughty:

Like every new product announced around this time of year, I wouldn't bet on seeing it until May at the earliest.

Doh the tempo tap circuit has nothing what so ever to do with anything in the soundpath!
1 second can be done.....a few old school BBD's have been reissued lately....
Depends on just how pretty you want your delay.....;)
4 chips should be able to it, and still sound reasonable..

That's not too bad. I guess it just depends on how much it ends up going for. I'm hoping around the $250 mark, to be competitive with the TC Nova.

No we can't because the Supa Puss is an analog delay with digital tempo control like a Diamond Memory Lane and the other delay you're thinkign about is a completely different design...

T-Rex is all digital...

Memory Lane is only 550ms and is $600...

Also the ML uses real deal NOS Panasonic BBD's so it's hard to say what the price will be...

Isn't the Superdelay all digital? I'd say it's worth what they ask for it, if I had a need for all that it offers.

Yeah, it's very expensive, but it's also an amazing pedal, like pretty much everything Empress makes. Still, I agree it's priced a bit crazy for what it is.

When I got my delay, it was between a TC Electronic Nova Repeater and a used Superdelay. I decided that I wouldn't be using the full capability of the Superdelay, and since they were pretty equivalent sound-wise I went with the Nova.

I own an Empress Phaser and I'd love to pick up their compressor, but I'd have to get a killer deal on a Superdelay to consider one.
