Song I Wrote for My Band (Looking for Critique)

Did this with my Explorer (Jb/Jazz) through my PoDXT Live using Audacity. My lead singer loved it but seeming as I've been trolling here for years I thought I'd show what I got. This definately isn't my best work but I'm proud of it.

Any suggestions/comments would be great. I'm the lead player of this band (but I wrote both parts) and I'm not really good at the whole soloing thing so the only actual lead parts I've written are octaves.

Dude, I liked it a lot, especially the chord progression at the end of the song. It definitely has a cool vibe to it. I think if done correctly, this could be an awesome song, though I also see it as being really easy to mess up. While listening, I was trying to think how all of the other band parts would fit into it, and I had a hard time doing it. But, what you've got here is great!

Nice thing.I thing the sound is too piercing ,maybe an EQ will solve the problem! The chords are nice and your playing is great!

Sounds Really good. But the first half of the song also sounds REALLY familiar. I can't remember the name of the song, But theres a song I keep hearing on one of the local rock stations, that sounds IDENTICAL to the first half of this song, Guitar parts at least.

now that doesn't mean anything really, cause I'm sure when ya add in the drums and bass, it'll probably make it sound different enough to Not make people go "Uh isn't this that one song?"

Sounds really good other wise though.
