I believe she already did that or something similar...ya know, they were kinda cool in the early-mid 80's (I saw them quite a few times in NYC around that time), but most of the Swans/Branca/Loisida nowave people had the sense to hang it up about 15 years ago. Why buy one of these for over 1K so you can stick drumsticks in it?

Yeah, I kind of see your point there. As a Sonic Youth signature I'm going to want to bounce it off the floor and attack it with various hard objects, they look too pretty for that.

Haha, I think you'd make the band proud by doing that ;)

What's not to like with these guitars? They've been modding and beating to hell their Fenders for years, it's about time Fender actually released some cool signature models that are actually different than the standard production stuff. The Sonic Youth guys seem excited about 'em, is it really against everything they stand for to stand behind a new Fender product with their names on it?

They do look good, but I hope the spirit hasn't been lost with these guitars, they look like they were made to rock and I sincerely hope somebody buys one and does it justice.

Nice! The prices on these are $1499.

They've even got nitrocellulose lacquer and all sorts of other great fittings. I can't explain my excitement.

These look great, and everyone's into the green (which I love), but I think I'd go with the blue. One of each works for me, too. :)

Oh yeah, I'd definitely go with the blue. I'm pretty interested in the new and improved Wide Range humbuckers.

Yeah, me too. Up until now they have been wide range in name only. Hopefully these will be more true to the originals.
