I appreciate that, thanks. Now that the trem is upgraded the only weak link is the tuners. Seeing the guitar has a locking nut I am in no rush to replace them. The one of the coolest features on this guitar is the prototype metal humbuckers hand wound by Lindy Fralin. They scream!

Bruce! How does the Global Tuner Pro perform? It sounds like an interesting piece of equipment and its available a separate upgrade too. Most probably I won't get to try it until they get a European distributor because the stupid EU import/tax laws would double it's price, but still...

It works as advertised. However, I have not used it in the wild yet. I have only used the guitar a bit and haven't taken it to practice yet. When I take my guitar to practice the temperature change makes everything detune by a few cents. This is when I am really going to put the Global Tune to the test. But yes you turn the wheel and everything tunes.
I am in contact with the guys at Sophia I will ask if they have an EU distributor.

Thanks! Though I recently exchanged e-mails with them and they said that they are unfortunately not popular enough to have a distro over here... :/

Ah. I like being able to raise as well as lower the pitch, so it probably wouldn't work for me. But I'm glad that you like it.

If I’m not mistaken the Sophia has several different block you can choose from. Some have a built in stop and other free float.
Nice buddy, way to go. I think you just made up my mind for me.

Excellent job way to go. I'm gunna finish with a locking nut on the neck. With the infinite tuners I think it's what I want now. None of the hassles of the Floyd's fine tuners.
for my Bigsby Gretch White Falcon I think I'm gunna put on a "Nut Buster" and some Power Tron pickups. Thinking also some paper and oil capacitors.

I was looking for the equivalent of the Sophia in locking nut form but I think a titanium Floyd nut is the pinnacle. You can add those knobs for quick unlocking but I wish the Kahler style flip lever was available in a floyd style mount.

Yes, they sell a drop d quick flip tuner. You need to setup the stabilizers to hold the tuning at drop d, similar to a trem setter.
You know people get titanium Floyd's and say wile the sustain and clarity is really effected it kinda messes a bit with the tone and you may end up swapping pickups and capacitors to get closer to what you once had. As we know, every change effects tone. Not good or bad just different characteristics jump out with changes....like adding a big brass block.
I think a titanium locking nut will certainly increase sustain and I don't think it will effect the tone as much to get that increase in sustain ether. You might be completely right about adding it to the Sophia since that trem already has the infinite fine tuners and drop D tuner.
