Sound Chooser - Korina body

Re: Sound Chooser - Korina body

hello.
first - i must say that i've installed the seths on my PRS and the sound is amazing - thank you all for the recommendations.

i am building a guitar that looks like music man van halen and i need some tone help.

The body will be korina (black) and a maple neck.
I want a sweet warm sound , not too "heavy metal" sound but also not too bright.

i want different pickups from what i got on my other guitars :
1. fender custom with active EMG HSS (alder body , maple neck , rosewood fretboard)
2. fender custom with slash alnico 2 humbuckers (walnut body , maple neck)
3. prs with seth lover humbuckers
4. gibson studio 2014 with 489-490 humbuckers

i was thinking about putting singles with "humbucker power" like hot rails , quarter pound ... or again , a good warm humbucker but of course different for different sound...

please advice.

Here is a single, and it DEFINITELY has some 'bucker power behind it.

I honestly like mine sooo much more than i was hoping i would.

Re: Sound Chooser - Korina body

ok i will check the p90 idea...
and what about 3 singles - SD - hot rails and cool rails ?
what the sound should be ?

The cool rails are a bit not fish not meat.

The hot rails bridge is more like a dimebucker, the neck version is surprisingly close to PAF class but more "liquid". I like the hot rails combo but it's more of a noisemaking combo.
