Freshly Serviced Sound City L-120MKIV. Six EL34's in this behemoth. This amp has got to be pumping out around 160 watts RMS. Massive Clean Sparkly Fender Style headroom.Amp Just got back from my tech where he installed a master volume mod to lower the noise floor on the amp-which is a common problem with ALL of these vintage Sound City amps. All Caps and resistors were checked and replaced where necessary and the tubes checked and biased. The operating condition is 100% excellent-still a litle noise at high volumes, but thats normal for these amps. This is the poor mans HIWAtt, although my tech said the circuitry was more akin to an Ampeg. I am selling this amp soon on that E-Place . Hard to find in this condition-most need work. The cosmetic condition is excellent, looks excellent with a few minor rubs off the tolex-barely noticable. This beast is heavey, so shipping wont exactly be cheap. I will let it go for 675.00 plus actaul shipping, or lets trade. Right now I need a great acoustic-electric/acoustic amp, or maybe Telecaster(warmorth/ USA Fender) or maybe something different?
