Sound system for backing tracks learning at home at higher volumes

I started doing lot of covers from different heavy groups. i am playing through Blackstar HT-5 and Blackheart BH-15 valve amps. right now i am using Guitar Pro, and regular Backing tracks from the website i found. ussualy i connect my laptop with my Roland Cube 40, but the backing tracks are not enough loud, to play over those small tube amps i mentioned. 1/4 of volume, and sound is not good, not loud enough for that. so i was thinking of what speaker should i try, if i am running the whole thing out of computer output.. what should i need for that ? is one passive or active speaker enough, or should i need something else ? even on Roland Cube 40 i can't get over 1/4 of volume, and sound kinda sucks at those low levels with all of my amps. the amp should be opened at least at half and boosted, but i can't hear backing tracks at those volume levels. what should i try ?

Better speakers for your PC. Something that has more than 5w of power. Doesn't have to be 100w. Try a 20w set of "gaming" speakers, or one of those "for your SmartPhone" portable/boombox/home stereo setups.

Thrift store bookshelf stereo. They have an aux jack.
