Speaker combination suggestions

I'm putting together a 2x12, and I have the following speakers:

2 x british celestion V30s
1 x mojotone BVM 25 (supposedly sounds like an early 70s greenback)
1 x Scumback H55 (supposedly sounds like a G12H30)

I also have 2 celestion speakers which were made for line 6 originally (I believe) that Avatar had laying around. Supposed to be closest to the Lead 80 if I'm not mistaken.

The combinations I'm strongly thinking about right now are:

V30/Greenback clone
V30/G12H30 clone

It would be a closed back cab probably. Amp is a clone of a marshall 1974x "lite" - not TMB, just a tone control and an input. Playing a telecaster and a stratocaster through it primarily.

Re: Speaker combination suggestions

IF it's really the Classic Lead 80, then they're really unpopular (under THAT name) - but far better known as the "MESA Black Shadow C90" (which IS popular). Pairs well with a V30, classic MESA combination - in fact the only other celestion except v30 that mesa uses - but not necessarily for Mesa-lovers only (dislike their amps myself, but own a v30/c90 rig that I'm fairly fond of). Really evens out the V30 when paired, sorta works like the popular v30/gt75 xpattern, but far more pleasant to my ears (but I'm biased here, I think the gt75 is the pinnacle of farty chinese nonsense).

v30/h30 is also a popular combo. maybe do two 2x12's, one v30/h30 one v30/cl80?

the greenback combo might be somewhat limited due to wattage constraints, since it's not by any means guaranteed to survive any pairing with 100watt heads

afaik, you don't add wattages directly, so it's not like 60-70w for the v30 + 25 greenback ~= 85-95 watts total... it's more like if that side is the weak point @ 25 watts, then any combination whatsoever using that speaker will only stand up to 25*speaker# watts = 2x12 max rated for 50 watt heads, 4x12 max rated for 100 watt heads, and 6x12 (w/ the greenback in the 4x12, never the 2x12) or full stack for big 120 watt heads
