Speaker question

As per an earlier thread I am getting a Celestion G12H to replace one of my
G12T-75's.
Question:
Will I be OK using the 30 watt G12H and a 60 watt Vintage 30 with a 50 watt amp? I will get set the ohms correctly. I rarely have the volume up past 2.

What about 2 G12H's

Sure it's ok, even 2 25w greenbacks would put up with it.

BTW what didn't you like about the 75?

You'd be fine with the G12H. I'd vote for a mixed pair. The G12H is a great speaker, but has a less defined bass response vs. the Greenback-less defined vs. many speakers-IMO. I think that V30 will be a great complement to the G12H, providing a bit more definition in the bass and mid w/ more treble brilliance vs. the g12h.

I use the V30/G12H30 combination with my JCM602 (60watts) with no problem at all, and I play at a fairly loud stage volume, a great combination of speakers.

The lack of mids. I will mix the G12H with either the V30 or the 75.

OK thanks. I am still trying to sell one of the 75's to pay for it. My wife is no longer in the christmas spirit! Well I bought a wolfgang a month ago and I "promised" I would be content for a while. ha ha.
