speaker suggestions for mesa stiletto ace

I play a mix between alternative and modern rock. I play 75/25 ratio dirty to clean. I wanna replace the speakers in my 212 cab which are currently eminence legends. the cab is front loaded if that makes a difference.

the amp only has 4 & 8 ohm outputs. cab is currently rated 8 ohms.

first question, should i go for two 8 ohms for a 4 ohm load or two 16 ohm for an 8 ohm load? how much of a difference will that make?

second question is since my amp is picky on speakers what would you suggest? first thought was a mix of vintage 30 and a g12h30. open to other siggestions such as full set of v30s or c90s or whatever.

Vintage 30 and G12m65 Creamback, they balance well with each other in tone, volume, and power handling.

Nah let go different and clear, go check out the Eminence Legend 12's. They are remarkable clear for Cleans and gritty and thick for Gain. These are hands down my favorite speakers. They sounded really good with a EVH 5105 50 watt head and much better then the factory cab.
The Mesa amps are excellent.

i had the creamback 75 in another amp. is the 65 suppose to be a mix of g12h30 and greenback?

nice amp. i'm drawn to it because it uses EL-34s. one day i may have to try one.

the v30 does every musical style well and it doesn't color the true sound.

if you go with the mixing option, the more efficient speaker can drown out the lesser one.

I may be way off here, but from how it sounds to me, the h30 is like a greenback with the heavy (h) magnet instead of the medium (m) magnet. The m65 cream back was kind of like a higher powered greenback and the h75 is the same cone with an H speaker kind of like a higher powered h30

I would stick with the V-30--that's what the Stilettos are voiced for. Try a 212 Horizontal or Vertical Recto cab.
