Speaker wire - head to cab

Since I've never owned a head and cab before I wasn't sure what to get. Is 16 gauge good enough for my 60 watt Valvetronix? I picked up a Monster Prolink and a Live Wire Advantage, both 10 ft. They also had a 5 foot 12 gauge in the bargin bin for half price but I passed on it.

yeah, long as its got nice sturdy jacks, and a bit of girth in the conductors (lamp cord sized and up). Avoid overly long runs.

Never an instrument cable, mind...
