ill need to look for the parallel wiring schematic for your speakers but basically you want the + all connected and the - all connected. this will take two 16 ohm speakers and wire them so they have a load of 8 ohms.
it isnt a good idea to use an instrument cable as a speaker cable since they are insulated which means one connector is inside the other. if those two connectors touch, your amp may fry itself. having said that, ive done it plenty of times in a jam and never had an issue. i wouldnt do it long term and id be careful not to pinch the cable and its best to use a proper speaker cable
thats a good point, check the two jacks of the speaker cable. 90% of the time thats where the issue is. if thats the case then you can resolder good connections
Yeah, I thought using instrument cable was a bad idea.. The problem with my speaker cable is it makes the amp hum really loud. I think its dead in the middle nothing I can do.
If everything turns out fine should I be worried? I mean does the wiring in the picture look right? What I actually did was trying to make a 412 into 212 because it was just too loud
