I have a jvm 205h 1960 a cab two celestio v30's on the bottom and two g12 h30's 70 anniversary on top and the top is two bright . I like classic rock and blues want to warm it up was thinking g12-65 . Thanks for the help

Re: Speakers

The G12 h30's are too bright?! Brighter than the V30's? The h30's are generally used to warm up those V30's, but they would be better on the bottom.

Swamp Thangs would warm it up.

I haven't played g12 65's so I can't answer that.

Re: Speakers

the 65 are nice speakers and have a smoother top than the h30, the v30 are more efficient though so youll still hear a lot of their character. the g12h30-55hz is another speaker with a warm high end

Re: Speakers

Those amps were designed to be used with the G12T75's, so to speak. That's what I prefer my 410H with.

Re: Speakers

I run a 210H through V30s. No brightness issues here.

I'd expect your speakers aren't broken in yet, and I would suspect your guitar/pickup may be clashing with the speakers.

Place your cabinet directly on the floor, no casters. This will improve perceived bass response.
Boost the JVMs resonance dial too. It won't get muddy.
I also suggest running the master volume high and the channel volume low. This will give you a thicker sound.

Re: Speakers

look into the warehouse guitar speaker ET-65 it is built after the original celestion 65 but way cheaper. i have 2 in a 2x12 cabinet and i love them, warm and good bottom end. but you have to break them in for close to a week before they start to warm up out of the box they seem twangy and squealey. i hated mine when i first installed them but after breaking them in i love them, sound very similar to robben ford tone
