Supposedly, silver and copper are better conductors. But gold is more oxidation resistant. So... maybe, but worth it?

Silver is the most conductive metal, copper is close but a lot cheaper.

From what I understand, yes. Silver wire is used to make electromagnets that are extremely strong. I know that there are extreme MRI machines that use silver wire.

I wonder if that's because they need every last bit of conductivity, or because it's anti corrosive

That said - I did hear them vs standard pickups, in two guitars with as much wood and component matching as humanly possible that FAlbo had made.

Very HiFi sounding. Extremely clear. And of course, expensive.
