Spin-a-somethin-ruther

Re: Spin-a-something Update

FWIW,

This past weekend a had the chance to try this tweaker in a live situation (not too common for me these days) and I'm quite pleased with the results!

:fingersx:

I used half way on the pot as "home" and either cranked it up or down from there, depending on what the song called for. I found the tweakability particularly useful when going for the mid/br parallel "Strat quack"; the spin-a-something let me dail in a pretty darned authentic Strat tone, or to take it up a notch with a little more bite. I'm running SSL-2's n & m with the PG+ br, BTW. The musical selection this weekend ran from classic to bluesy rock, with a couple of heavies thrown in for good measure :firedevil (mostly original tunes).

Hope a couple more of you have some spin-a-something stories soon...

FYI when using a std. spin a split, a reverse log pot give you more range for the splitting part adjustment in the first 1/2 of rotation. The tone control starts about 1/2 way for there.
