In your schematic you are converting a tone control to a ‘split’ control (losing the tone function)
If you want to maintain the tone control you will need to add another potentiometer (w/ cap).

Choas nailed, it but wanted to reminding you that you can use a cocentric pot to do both- this is the best of all worlds in my book as I tend to set spin and tone and leave them for long periods so not likely I will bump one when adjusting the other-

OR...you can put in a push/pull pot and wire it to switch from a tone pot to Spin-A-Split.
