Spinafication + modeling: it works!

Just got my Spina-fied DS-1 back today. I gotta admit, I was skeptical. I had my doubts. What happens if the mods account for no more than a simple tone change? I love this guy. I was concerned . . . for no reason. :)

I just can't believe how good this thing sounds now. I'll equate it to the difference between Antiquity's and "regulars". There's just "something" there that wasn't there before. Its a complexity, and richness of the distortion. Its hard to describe.

My other concern is that it wouldn't be all that beneficial with a modeling unit. The exact opposite happened. John's DS-1 gives the digital signal a "liveness" and "presence" that wasn't there before. I have to fall back on the "richness" adjective. Thats the word. ;)

Sorry if I sound gushing. This thing is hot.
I decree, the blue LED to mean . . . Spinafication. :D

John - thanks buddy. Now I owe you one.

Congrats Artie! IMO, John's work is on at least the same par as Keeley, Analog Man and anyone else that does great work! Lew

Artie buddy? After all the reading you've done about the mods, how could you have been skeptical?

Glad you like the pedal.....$40 pedal and pretty amazing really...Gave you a pretty good deal on the price of the mods also!
