It's no surprise. They're well built amps that sound great, and they're a steal at what they go for.
I've thought seriously about getting a Quick rod, but I'd really only use gear 1, and the amp is so Van halen-sounding that I can't play one without thinking of Ed's sound. It's a great sound, but it's not suitable for The Defendants, so basically I'd be buying it as a 'fun around the house' amp, and right now I'm looking for stuff I can use onstage and in the studio.
Apparently he's making a simpler model that goes from plexi through to gear 1. I'd be very interested in trying one of those.
