Splitting Jazz neck and 59 bridge

Anyone tried using both the Jazz neck and 59 bridge splits? Is it usable?

Their resistances are quite the same when split. I wanna a thin sound for rhythm work on my ES335 and LP.

For chording I want the Jazz neck full.

For more heavier stuff the 59bridge full.

I have not done it, but my experience with both pups would lead me to believe that they ought to split rather successfully.

The Jazz splits very nicely, the '59 isn't quite as nice, but it's certainly useable.

They both split just fine. The neck Jazz humbucker will sound "better" as the string itself moves more over the neck pickup and produces a stronger tone. The string moves very little over the bridge pickup and sounds thinner...especially with the pickup split. It might be better to go with a stronger bridge pickup, like the JB, if reallygood split tones are important to you . I like the standard tone of the 59B better than the thicker, hotter JB but the JB has the stronger tone when split. Lew

The jazz has a superb 'rythm' split. The 59 unless you have a 4 wire version come standard as a two wire and connot be spilt in this form however It dos'nt sound as clean as the jazz split still sounds good though a better pup to split at the bridge would be the JB...:smack: oh! thats wot I got
