I’m building a H/S/H strat and wanted to build in some fun stuff too. I’m just not sure if I’ve gone too far.
My setup will use a JB, an SSL-1-RW/RP, and a Jazz neck. Positions 1,2,4,&5 are straight foreword. Position 3 gets a little hairy. I wired position 3 using the south coils in single coil mode because the humbuckers I have will attract each other if placed screw to stud, but will repel if placed stud to stud or screw to screw. I wanted the position to be humbucking so I used the combo that attracted. All of the switches are DPDT on/on.
The switching scheme and diagram are shown below. I believe everything will work as planned, but I was hoping some of the wiring guys could take a look and tell me if I missed something. Artie looked at this when I posted the diagram in a different thread, but I wanted to get some additional feedback.
Also, the tone section is not set in stone yet. There is the possibility of having a different combination of pot and cap for each position of the main switch. Position 3 could also have different combinations for the humbucker and single coil modes if a push pull switch is added to one of the tone controls.
Thanks in advance for any feeback.
George
