Nice find Nathan. Its amazing how much more info the European site has than the American one.

btw - This is my latest GAS . . . I think I'm gonna succumb to this one. I played it in the store and it seems like a great guitar. Doesn't seem like a Squier at all, or I should say, a "lower line" guitar. The thing is gorgeous.

I personaly like the Idea behind it and the look is right too. So at this point your not the only one GASing.

I thought this quote was interesting:

The Duncan Designed humbuckers fitted to the Squier® Esprit feel ideally suited to this guitar. Both pickups compliment each other perfectly, with the bridge pickup's output and overall tone being notably less aggressive and sweeter- sounding than the ‘official' full-sized Duncan JB humbucker. These oriental pickups are inspired by the originals, but are not direct copies; definitely having a slightly mellower sound that sounds very convincing on the new Esprit.

They're implying that these DD's are "better" than the real thing. I'll have to take a more critical listen next time I'm over there.
