SRV Neck on a 62' Fender Strat Reissue

62 Vintage

Would anyone happen to know if there would be any mods involved with putting a SRV neck on an American Vintage 62' Fender Stratocaster Reissue?

Cheers :beerchug:

Yes, 4 that is FOUR screws to loosen to remove the old neck and then same 4 FOUR screws to tighten up the new neck!

Ebay has a lot of these necks for sale - shop around!

Should bolt right up. Good luck finding an SRV neck though. Are you interested in the neck profile? If so, it might be easier and cheaper to buy a Warmoth with that back profile.

Otherwise there is an eBay store, something like "thestratosphere" that pieces out new Fenders. You might email them to see if they plan of doing another SRV soon. Or.... Buy an SRV in eBay and part out the rest yourself?

Yeah, I was wondering if the distance from the nut to the bridge would be the same or if I would have to radically adjust the bridge. Nice to know it's the same pocket.
BTW, I love your avatar Stratman. -lol

Hi

Did you ever do this combo?
I have one and my low strings buzz like crazy.
It has been reset by 2 local shops but I cannot bang on the low strides without getting a popping sound.

Someone told me that I might need to raise the bridge.
