SRV tone with ssl-5

Can you get a good Stevie Ray Vaughan tone out of an ssl-5 or ssl-6 in the neck position of a strat?

I'd probably go for an STK-S7 Vintage Hot, for a warmer but still vintage strat sound. Seems like a better match for SRV tones.

People's playing styles and rigs vary, though, a hotter pickup could easily work better for some. No right or wrong in gear, only what gets the job done for you.

srv used low output pups with big strings tuned down, a heavy attack and big clean amps.

if you use 12's and tune down then get a vintage strat pup like the ssl1.
if you use 9's and dont tune to Eb then the ssl5 will get you close.

I use 11's turned down 1/2 step with SSL-5 neck, ssl-52 rwrp middle and ssl-6 bridge.
