SSH Pickup suggestions for a Jackson JSX-94

Hey guys -
I just had an older Jackson given to me and was hoping for some pickup upgrade suggestions. :fest6:

The stock pickups and\or wiring has got a solid hum at all times - slightly less when the bridge humbucker is in use. All the wiring & grounds look solid too...

I'm sure I'll rewire the cavity and would actually like to grab new pickups at that time. Currently the neck is too bright and the bridge could use more grit.
(pickups installed are the stock Jacksons...)

Since this is a SSH pickup configuration should the middle pickup be reverse wound if I go with single coils in both neck & center positions?

What would you guys pick out for yourselves that may allow for some nice tones ranging from rock\blues to metal?

Might as well go with RWRP in the middle. It doesn't hurt anything and gives you noiseless positions. I would go Custom in the Bridge in this case, and if the neck is too bright I might consider a A2 SC there.

Or you could go A5 SC in the neck and a JB in the bridge with 250K pots....

I'm going to have to measure these pickups too I guess -
No idea if the Bridge is HB or TB spaced... Likewise with the neck & middle. Not sure if I need something other than a Stras spaced pup there either...

I have a Custom in the bridge of an alder-bodied Jackson Dinky Reverse, and it's just about perfect. It's got a lot of grit without being shrill or shrieky. Pair it up with Hot Rails in the neck & middle, and you've got an awesome hot-rodded blues/rock/metal guitar.

A Duncan TB Custom it is...
I have some stuff I'll have to list in trade and see how far I can get with the new toy...

The stock pickups on this guitar are screwed into the body and I noticed the Hot Rails have threaded holes on either side - Can you remove the threads so they can be screwed in?
The stock pups that are installed currently look like these STK S2's
