SSL-1 Screws

Hey folks

I've recently bought a brand new SSL-1 and the screws that came with it won't fit into the baseplate. Am I missing something? Has this happened to anyone else?

After literally several dozens of SSL-1s installs, it never happened to me or have even heard something similar happen to anybody.

Sorry!

Re: SSL-1 Screws

Thank you for your reply. I may have to modify the baseplate because the screws are the right size..

Also, the cover doesn't completely fit the pickup. The lowest part of the cover doesn't touch the top part of the baseplate, there are some mm between them.

Re: SSL-1 Screws

you should be able to jam the screws in there. ive had a few that had a little wax in there which made it a little more difficult to thread but once you get the screws to bite, they work fine

I think there's really no way for those screws to fit in there. It is not a problem anyway, I just wanted to know if I was doing something wrong.

BTW, it comes with two orange 'silicon like' thick washers, where should I place them? Sorry for my ignorance..

Re: SSL-1 Screws

you put those between the pickguard and bobbin of the pup, use them like youd use springs. you may need to trim them if they are too long but they squish down a fair amount

OK, I'll show the final build once it gets finished in a couple months.

Thank you for your help Jeremy! Have a good one.
