SSL-5 in neck (or SSL-1) whit Hot Rails in bridge?

Hello I´m new in the forum and I´m from Argentina so my english may be ugly, so...
Currently I have a Duncan Hot Rails in my Fender MIM strat, bridge model in bridge position (which is fine for now), the other two are the ceramic stock pickups and now I want to change the neck one.
I´ve read that the stock pickups has higher output than regular vintage style single coils (like SSL-1) but still in a solid state amp in a clean setting the volume difference beetwen the HB and the SC´s are very noticiable. I like a bit more for the very little I´ve heard the SSL-1 but considering the higher output I was thinking in SSL-5 in neck, I seen that this ppup goes usually in the bridge, so I´m wondering:
It works fine for the neck?
Will do a good couple whit the Hot Rails?
Beign hotter than normal, still has the "tone" of single coils or sound more like a HB like?
Another doubts i have, its ok to balance the volume of the pickups adjusting the height of them in case of very different outputs pups like Single coils and hot rails?
In my kind of rig, MIM whit solid state amps (laney lx65r that i own or rehearsal rooms amps like Valvestates) is it worth and noticiable the "quality" or price difference beetwen SSL-5 and an Antiquity Duncan? Which antiquity would be the alternative to SSL-5? Texas Hot? texas hot Custom bridge?
Any suggestions for the middle pickup?
Well, sorry for the long thread
Happy Christmas!!

I've tried the SSL-5 in the neck and didn't care for it. Too compressed to get a good Strat tone.
You might have better luck with a Quarter Pounder, a little hotter but not compressed.
