SSL5 RW/RP in strat what Pickup for neck, I play chillie peppers, blues, suggest a neck pup. The hot rails will take care of the hard rock. I dont want anything to harsh.

I'm confused, which position is the ssl 5 and hotrails???? mid/bridge respectively???

But ssl 1 is actually what frusciante uses, so you can't get closer than that. Switching from a hotrails bridge to vintage neck is going to be a considerable step down in output.
