What do you think?

As quirky as Annie Clark? I'm glad that a guitar company recognizes her.

If it had reverse headstock, it would become a Fireball :9:

yuck

I think Guild better start making electrics again so she can have a Bluesbird endorsement

Re: St. Vincent Signature EBMM

My Music Mans are my favorite guitars. This guitar is an abomination. It will be body-heavy, and the EBMM headstock's curves seem out of place. Seems quirky just to be quirky. One thing I love about my EBMMs is that they are ergonomic designs, with nothing wasted. This seems like a lot of extra wood for no reason.

Headstock is a definite mismatch

yeah function always has to come before design in my book. But in saying that you wouldn't think a v, lp or explorer would work at all but they are super popular and function great.

Oh I get that. But Vs, LPs and Explorers don't work for me either...at all.

Re: St. Vincent Signature EBMM

I think it's one of the better looking EBMM guitars out there.

But that is like saying "that is one of the better looking piles of dog-poop out there"

A shame they make such a horrendous looking line of high quality gear.

Re: St. Vincent Signature EBMM

I'm sorry.... who?

I love my Silhouette Special - even though I've modded the hell out of it because EBMM "doesn't do" custom instruments for non-endorsing end users. I also really, really dig the Albert Lees and the Lukes.

On looks alone it's a big NOPE. I'll try it out of I see one in person but I can't see a whole lot of people going for this.

Re: St. Vincent Signature EBMM

It's awesome!! It's so weird but somehow, it kinda works... Don't ask me to explain how though! I'll bet the Albert Lee and shov... I mean Majesty got the same reception, didn't they?
Agreed that the headstock looks somewhat out of place... but it's small and unobtrusive, so it doesn't do THAT much against the whole design.

Three mini humbuckers... uncharted territories for MM. Glad they're going there to do what the artist wants. If it doesn't sell, it won't sell, and that's all there is to it. I hope it does though, it's a cool guitar.

Re: St. Vincent Signature EBMM

She has played Albert Lee model a lot during her tour recently.

I am a fan of Albert Lee model myself, particularly that comes with P-90s and fixed bridge.

Re: St. Vincent Signature EBMM

I'd rather have a St. V signature Bobkat, but hey, if anyone deserves a signature model lately, it's her. That last album, in particular, is overflowing with some truly nasty fuzzwork.

The AL tends to be a somewhat polarizing design in that people totally love it or they're indifferent. I've never seen anyone hating on that guitar.

I'm in the former camp - I absolutely love that axe. I liked the "Jetsons" thing it had going on with the body but when I tried it out, the thing that was immediately apparent to me was that the body balances perfectly.

The mahogany bodied HH ones with rosewood necks sound incredible.

Re: St. Vincent Signature EBMM

Yep, it's one of my favorite guitars. Never failed to get the sound I wanted out of it!

Re: St. Vincent Signature EBMM

I saw her play at Boston Calling this summer. The girl has amazing tone and she is a hell of a player. I can only sum her up as "tasteful".

Re: St. Vincent Signature EBMM

It's like EBMM held a contest at a preschool. They walked in, asked the children to draw a guitar, and then picked the worst drawing.
