Stacked pickup problem

I recently got a Jackson Adrian Smith SDX. I read various times that the single coils (neck and middle position) are supposed to be noiseless. Is this true? Mine are not, except in position 4 (neck + middle). They are stacked pickups (two coils on top of one another). Also, what are the wiring codes for these? Mine are wired from the factory like this: red=hot, black+bare=ground, green+white=soldered together. Is this the correct wiring?

I measured the DC between the different wires: red+green= 6K, white+black=7.1. So I assume they don't use the standard Jackson or Fender color codes.

Can anyone tell me why these aren't cancelling any noise? And how can I wire them to be hum-cancelling?

Thanx.

Re: Stacked pickup problem

No not Duncan's they are whatever junk Jackson is putting in their imports these days. Every spec ive seen on that guitar just calls them single coils not stacked humbuckers or noiseless or anything which would be consistent with your noise expirience but makes no sense why they would have 4 conductors so you got me. Personally I would drop an email or call Jackson customer support and ask.

That's what I did today. Normally they respond within two business days. I'm just curious, because eventually they have to go. I replaced the neck pickup with a DiMarzio Chopper and I'm planning to put a good single coil in the middle position. The bridge pickup is really decent, but I'll replace it anyway with a DiMarzio SD I have lying around.
