Isn't that essentially what EC is doing? New batch of CS sig models every tour, then they get auctioned off to fund his rehab center?

claptons been using his sig models pretty exclusively for years now, not sure how many he gets then sells but doesnt seem like a bad way to raise some money for a good cause

In one of these articles he says something along the lines of he can’t tell or prefers the CS version.

Man.... The Black Strat, the Red Strat, #0001, the Martin 12 string, the Martin D35, the P90 Goldtop, I’ve fetishized these guitars for years.

I was actually considering putting a bid in for that, but then I remembered I can't afford it, I have a wife, and I don't play guitar well enough to do it justice.
